Knowledge Based Article for ACT Verification Process

A Brief Description of The Process:

Accuracy Checking is a process which is carried out by the Accuracy Checking Technicians (users who have SCI – ACT team assigned). ACT process is carried out after clinical validation has been completed for a prescription. As part of this process the accuracy is checked by the users for the following:

  • Label Generation on the prescription

  • Label Generation on the work order

  • Total Quantity calculated by the system

  • Quantity distributed across the work orders

ACT Verified button is only visible on the Rx when Clinically Validated toggle is set to Yes (on Rx record) AND Clinically Validated Status is set to Completed AND ACT Verified flag on the record is No.

When ACT Verified button is clicked, the system changed ACT flag to Yes on the prescription and all the prescription’s orders.

Work Orders can also be individually ACT Verified.

When a Rx is ACT verified, the status changes to Ready. As a result, a relevant call is generated (based on call generation logics).

General Investigation Procedure:

Mostly issues are raised where users are unable to see ACT Verified button on the Rx. In this case check the following: Clinically validated toggle (should be Yes), clinically validated status (should be completed) or ACT Verified flag on the record (should be No).

If all of the above is correct, trace the steps of the prescription using the audit history to see where the Rx fell off.
